Osler’s Ladies’ Day presents: Drama Queen

That’s right girlfriends, this year’s Ladies’ Day theme is “Drama Queen”! The day is jam packed with all the activities you’ve grown to love and expect, breakfast, shopping, the spa, shopping, lunch, shopping and of course skiing. But to make the day even more spectactular we have raised the bar to include a private concert performed by “Suzie McNeil” with famous radio personality, Jeff Woods, as MC. As Suzie mentioned in her video message we will be crowning the reigning “Drama Queen” of Osler’s Ladies’ Day.

Tickets are on sale now at a cost of only $145 per person with a limit of four per member. You will not want to miss this event. Check out the links at the right of the event page for more information on the day including how to enter the “Drama Queen Contest”.

One last thing, the Ladies’ Day gift is….of course we are not going to tell you but let’s just say that every true Drama Queen needs some pure “bling”.

Want to bring a guest? Ladies, a backstage pass has been created to allow you to share this exciting Ladies’ Day website with your guests. Click here to take you to the Ladies’ Day Guest Login screen; User Name: Ladies Day Guest Password: ladiesday.

FINCA CEO

Megan Dunn Jewellery Design In Support of FINCA Canada…

An evening of shopping with exclusive vendors each supporting
FINCA Canada by giving 20% of their sales from the event to the charity.
Date: Tuesday, May 11th, 2010 Venue: TBA Time: 7pm
“The mission of FINCA is to provide financial services to the world’s lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. We accomplish this by offering small loans and a savings program to those turned down by traditional banks, believing that even the poor have a right to financial services. With these loans, families can invest in, and build their own small businesses, increasing their income-earning capacity.
FINCA operates in 22 countries around the world serving over 700,000 clients, predominantly women. The average loan size is $250 and our repayment rate is 98%. FINCA works by creating Village Banks where 20 or 30 women get together and guaranteed each others’ loans. They meet once a week with a FINCA credit officer to pay back their loans and to discuss their businesses. This methodology creates a sense of community and in the end self confidence. Once a woman repays her loan, she can request additional funds to help grow her business. As her business grows, she is able to provide a better life for her and her family, with a better education, food and shelter as well as healthcare. FINCA Canada to date has raised approximately $300,000. We are working to end poverty one woman, one family one community at a time.”
